I’m sure you don’t have to be told why it is important to create events for your students that will motivate them and get them engaged.
You know that it's important but here’s the problem: a lot of those so-called success events that exist out there all have one major flaw - the motivation that they create fizzles away days after the event is over.
You’ve probably seen it. Have you ever had a great speaker who gave your students a great Rah-Rah speech and then nothing really comes from it after that?
My name is Arel Moodie and I am the founder of The College Success Program. I know a bit about what it takes to make it through college. I started the first 17 years of my life on welfare and living in one of the toughest projects in Brooklyn, NY. After overcoming countless odds, I’ve been able to work with one of the largest consumer product goods companies in the world, start my first business while in college and sell it, and professionally speak to over 35,000 students in 29 states and 2 countries all before my 25th birthday. I have been recognized by USA Today, Young Money Magazine, FOX, ABC, NBC and featured in two books including Millenial Leaders which named me one of “The Most Brilliant Gen Y Leaders” in the country.
I'm proud of my accomplishments -- but I'm not telling you all of this to brag.
I'm telling you this because one of the biggest mistakes you can make if you want to positively impact your students (and stay within budget!) is to put your faith in some of these motivational speakers who have good intentions, and a few decent strategies and techniques...
... but has NO REAL CLUE about the TRUE techniques to create positive lasting change in their audience members.
